Day 6 | Dealing with Uncertainty - Heart’s Hope

Emotional uncertainties can seek to hinder us from moving forward, but developing healthy habits can help us overcome these obstacles.

Emotional uncertainty- uncertainty with the heart. Even though this feels like the worst among the list of uncertainties, this is the least serious because it is rooted in our emotions. However if left unattended to, it can lead to feelings of discouragement, defeat or depression.

1 Samuel 30:6

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

David found himself in a stressful and depressive situation whereby his own people turned against him after finding out that the enemy had taken away their wives and daughters, even though he had suffered the same losses. In the account David encouraged himself in God and ultimately attacked the enemy and took back everything that was lost. Emotional uncertainties can seek to hinder us from moving forward, but developing healthy habits can help us overcome these obstacles.

Are there any habits that you can begin or continue so that you can encourage yourself in times of emotional uncertainty?
