“What marks us as God’s people in this world? Jesus tells us that loving Him is obeying Him.”

What marks us as God’s people in this world?

John 14:15
“If you love Me, obey My commandments."

Jesus tells us that loving Him is obeying Him. These are severe words that Jesus put forth. How is your response to this truth and where does that put you in your standing with God?

As we begin this series of devotionals on obedience, pray this prayer:

Dear Father,
Thank you for Your great love for me, seen in the gift of Jesus to me. Jesus, I understand that loving You means obedience to You. I open my heart to you and humbly ask you to speak to me and let me see the parts of me that have yet to submit to You. I ask that You do a deep work inside of me because I do love You. I pray this in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
