Day 40 | Successful Service - Following Jesus’ Footsteps

We serve a God who serves. Jesus came down from Heaven to serve us so that we could be saved.

Gen 18:9-10
“Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him. “There, in the tent,” he answered. 10 The LORD said, “I will certainly come back to you in about a year’s time, and your wife Sarah will have a son!” Now Sarah was listening at the entrance of the tent behind him.

God came personally to deliver the good news to Sarai that she would have her promised son very soon. We see that our God is a God who serves - even if He has to leave Heaven to do it.

Mark 10:45
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

This is the final reason for our service: we serve a God who serves. Jesus came down from Heaven to serve us so that we could be saved. Successful service understands that Jesus has served us and He invites us to join Him in His heart to serve others.

We hope that you have gain some knowledge about serving God through these devotional segments. May God lead you to a fruitful and joyous journey of service to the world around you such that others will see Jesus through your life.
